About this course
Delivered by Rector sir as part of the Basic System block, this module covers the cardiovascular system end to end — from the four chambers of the heart to the pathway blood takes through the body, and the conditions that arise when that pathway fails.
Who this course is for
RNL-66 and RPL induction batches. Required before any cardiovascular product briefing.
What you will be able to do
- Describe the anatomy of the heart — walls, chambers and valves
- Explain the function of the heart's conduction system
- Trace the pulmonary and systemic circulation pathways
- Distinguish artery from vein, and explain what a valve prevents
- Recognise the cardiovascular diseases most often discussed in the field

Assessment
Written paper — 30 marks in 30 minutes: fill in the blanks (5), multiple choice (5), label the heart diagram (4), and short answers on body systems, artery versus vein, abbreviations and blood cells (16).
Delivery
Classroom sessions run 09:00–13:00 and 14:00–17:30, Saturday to Thursday, at Radiant's L&D centre. All lesson material is also available here for revision.
